Configuring GPG For Windows

  1. Windows NT
    Click ''Start'', ''Programs'', ''Command Prompt''.
    Windows 95/98
    Click ''Start'', ''Programs'', ''MS-DOS Prompt''.
  2. Type c:$\backslash$ gnupg$\backslash$ gpg -gen-key
  3. Select ''DSA and ElGamal (default)''.
  4. When asked what keysize you wish, type in 3072.
  5. When asked if you really want a key this large, type in y.
  6. If you do not wish your key to expire, type in 0 (as in the number).
  7. Type in your name.
  8. Type in your email address.
  9. You may type in a short comment about yourself, if you choose.
  10. Type O (as in okay).
  11. Type in your password.
